Downloadable v-CardA jury consultant and owner of MMG Jury Consulting, LLC, Dr. Melissa Gomez holds a Ph.D. and M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Loyola College. Her experience includes work on close to 200 trials in Philadelphia and across the country, with a focus on the psychology of learning, behavior and decision-making. She has more than a decade of expertise in research design and methodology, as well as in behavioral and communication skills training.
Dr. Gomez has provided services that include designing and conducting mock trials and focus groups; assisting with witness preparation and jury selection; and developing educational and persuasive strategies for trial. Dr. Gomez has lectured before numerous litigation groups and legal associations, as well as before the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. She has published several articles in the Legal Intelligencer and For the Defense and is a regular contributor to the Legal Intelligencer Blog.
Dr. Gomez resides in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia with her husband and twin sons.
